The Manitoba Scholarship and Bursary Initiative

Through the Manitoba Scholarship and Bursary Initiative, the provincial government matches a lot of the private donations that schools get from donors at a 1 to 2 ratio (1 government dollar for every 2 private dollars donated).

This means that the provincial government gives funding to schools each year, who then match these dollars. Each school then divides this money up into different types of non-repayable scholarships, grants and/or bursaries.
