Summary of Teachers' Self-reported Skills in Using ICT Applications
The following four graphs summarize the range of teachers at each of the four levels of ICT technical skill: Beginning, Developing, Accomplished, and Exemplary. These graphs lead us to the following conclusions:
- Overall, teachers assess themselves as competent in

- Internet searching (45%)
- basic computer operations (43%)
- word processing (43%) (Accomplished level)
- More than 50% of teachers report not having any skills with
- web page creation (66%)
- database use (57%)
- digital imaging (54%)
- concept mapping (51%)
- videography/video editing (50%) (Beginning level)
- More than 40% of teachers identify themselves as starting to develop skills in
- networking (65%)
- information searching (55%)
- email (46%)
- spreadsheet use (44%)
- videography/video editing (43%) (Developing level)
- Teachers have taught their students skills mostly in
- word processing (43%)
