Impact of the IMYM Project on Grade 8 Pilot Teachers: A Follow-up Report

3.0 Self-Directed Professional Learning
IMYM8 pilot teachers participated in 12 days of classroom release time for professional learning related to implementing the interdisciplinary unit Systems and Interactions. One of the twelve professional learning days was designated as a self-directed day. Pilot teachers used this time to obtain personalized training in any particular area in which they needed to strengthen their skills. The pilot teachers were asked how they had spent this self-directed day. The following table illustrates how the grade 8 IMYM pilot teachers spent their self-directed professional learning day.
