4.0 Sharing the IMYM Model
One of the criteria for participating in the grade 8 IMYM pilot project was for teachers to share their IMYM experiences with colleagues, parents, and adminstrators. At the end of the pilot project, teachers were asked to complete a Record of IMYM Sharing form. The following chart illustrates how the IMYM pilot teachers had shared or planned to continue to share their IMYM experiences.
Most teachers have already shared and are continuing to share with other teachers, their ICT skills and competencies and their pedagogical experiences in integrating ICT with curricular outcomes in their classrooms. They have also informed parents, administrators, and trustees of changes in their classroom practice as they implement the IMYM model. Many teachers have encouraged classroom visitations by other teachers and have begun to mentor those teachers in a community of learners.
