Curriculum Frameworks
These curriculum frameworks documents provide an introduction to the curriculum, the outcomes, and the achievement indicators for all mathematics courses in Kindergarten to Grade 12.
Kindergarten to Grade 8 Mathematics: Manitoba Curriculum Framework of Outcomes 2013
This revised document provides a common base for the curriculum expectations mandated by Manitoba Education and Early Childhood Learning, which will result in consistent student outcomes in mathematics across Manitoba and enable easier transfer for students moving from one region to another. System-wide implementation of this curriculum begins in September 2013 and replaces the 2008 K-8 Mathematics curriculum.
Grades 9 to 12 Mathematics: Manitoba Curriculum Framework of Outcomes 2014
This document was developed by the seven ministries of education in collaboration with teachers, administrators, parents, business representatives, post-secondary educators, and others and was first published in 2009. Minor revisions were made in 2014 to clarify the scope of some of the outcomes and to reflect the revisions previously made to the front matter of the Kindergarten to Grade 8 Mathematics: Manitoba Curriculum Framework of Outcomes (2013). Finally, references to Accounting courses were deleted since they are no longer accepted as alternatives for meeting mathematics graduation requirements.
Grade 12 Introduction to Calculus and Grade 12 Advanced Mathematics: Manitoba Curriculum Framework of Outcomes 2019
This document provides the specific learning outcomes and the achievement indicators for planning of scope, sequence, and depth for both Introduction to Calculus (45S) and Advanced Mathematics (45S or 40S). These optional half-credit courses are designed to meet the needs of students who demonstrate particular aptitude or strong interest in mathematics and who desire to study more advanced topics in mathematics.
