OVERVIEWFrench Immersion Kindergarten is a time for children to learn about what school is like and have fun while learning new things in French. They learn to listen to French and understand the main ideas of what they hear. Children’s natural curiosity and desire to learn are stimulated through organized activities and play. Your child will interact with others, imagine, experiment and explore to add to their knowledge, learn new skills and practice what they have learned. ARTS EDUCATION: Dance, Drama, Music, and Visual ArtsKindergarten to Grade 2 children experiment with ways to express themselves creatively and begin to develop skills and knowledge in one or more of the arts education subjects. They explore the questions “who”, “where”, “when”, and “why” related to the arts. SOCIAL STUDIES
Being Together
Kindergarten children explore who they are in relation to others in their world. They become aware of how people, live, play and work together to meet basic needs. Your child learns to express interest in others and discovers connections to people around them. As kindergarterners explore their social and natural environments, they become aware that they live in a country called Canada and are part of a larger world.
