HIGH SCHOOL APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM

The High School Apprenticeship Program (HSAP) lets students start an apprenticeship while still in high school. It links regular Senior Years school instruction with on-the-job apprenticeship training.

To start apprenticeship training in a trade while attending high school, Grade 11 or Grade 12 students must be at least 16 years old. They can earn a maximum of eight credits toward graduation while collecting apprenticeship hours that can be used towards continued apprenticeship training after high school graduation.
