Ways Teachers Assess Literacy with ICT
Teachers assess student literacy with ICT by asking the following questions:
Does the student:
- Demonstrate critical thinking with ICT to plan and gather information?
- Demonstrate creative thinking with ICT to produce and communicate information?
- Demonstrate healthy and safe use of ICT?
- Demonstrate ethics and responsibility while using ICT?
There are three important methods that teachers use to find evidence of students’ literacy with ICT: observations, conversations and portfolios.
