Reflective Questions for Teachers

Print Version (pdf document 536 KB)

This resource supports educators as they reflect on and strengthen their own capacity within each competency. Additionally, these questions guide teachers in planning classroom learning experiences that intentionally provide learners with opportunities where they can develop their global competencies.

Reflecting on my own collaboration:

  • What are my strengths and stretches as a collaborator in my professional context?

Reflecting on my classroom practice:

  • Under what circumstances do I provide collaboration opportunities for the learners? How does collaboration enhance the learning?
  • How can I design a learning experience that requires learners to be open-minded and encourage them to reconsider their thinking based on new information and ideas?
  • How can I support learners to use respectful language while providing constructive feedback to others?
  • What kind of learning experiences can I design to support learners in working through conflict?
  • What kinds of strategies do I share with learners to support planning as a group?
  • How do I evaluate individual learners’ learning in a collaborative assignment?
  • How do I support learners with social anxiety, language barriers, or poor attendance when collaborating with others?
