Where do I start?
Determine if you can apply online or if you need to use a paper application form. You should apply early to make sure your funding is in place before school starts. Please print the list of required information (). It provides all the information you need to complete your application.
Online application
If you are a full-time student, you can apply using the online application even if you haven't been officially accepted yet, as long as you know your:
- designated school and program
- program start and end dates
Typically, it takes 1 – 2 weeks to assess an application, but may take longer if more information is required.
DEADLINE: Online applications and all required information must be submitted no later than 45 business days before your study period ends. Funds cannot be released after your study period end date.
Paper application
Paper applications are required if you are:
- applying for a second time in the same program year or
- applying for part-time studies
You can pick up a paper application at our Winnipeg office, or download and print one from our website. When your paper application is received, it takes up to 6 weeks or longer to process, so make sure to plan ahead.
DEADLINE: Paper applications must be submitted no later than 60 business days before your study period ends. Funds cannot be released after your study period end date.
