Manitoba Healthy Schools
The healthy schools initiative in Manitoba supports the belief that good health promotes good learning and healthy living. The initiative provides information and resources for the classroom and community about physical fitness, healthy eating and nutrition, safety and injury prevention, substance abuse and addiction, sexual and reproductive health, and mental health and well-being.
Manitoba Middle Years Association (MMYA)
The Manitoba Middle Years Association (MMYA) is a leading partner in Middle Years education in Manitoba. MMYA supports educators through the forum it provides for professional dialogue at its monthly meetings, through professional learning opportunities at its Special Area Groups of Educators (SAGE) conference, and through its publication The Manitoba Middle Years Association Journal. MMYA offers a learning grant to Middle Years educators for special projects that meet the needs of young adolescent learners in developmentally appropriate and engaging ways.
